Jamie Hamelink LPC, MS Ed, RYT
Jamie brings a wealth of experience to her psychotherapy clients. She holds an undergraduate degree in psychology, education and religious studies with a concentration in Buddhism, Taoism and Hinduism, and an MS Ed in counseling psychology. She is a DPI licensed teacher in Wisconsin, a certified Iyengar and Aerial Yoga teacher and a member of Yoga Alliance.
Jamie’s extensive background in movement arts forms the foundation of her unique therapeutic approach. For the past 25 years she has been actively involved in aerial dance and acrobatics, post-modern dance and yoga as a student, teacher, choreographer, performer and studio owner. She is an aerial dancer specializing in aerial yoga, silks and dance trapeze. She brings her creative movement and expressive arts background together with her study of psychology and spirituality for a unique, embodied therapeutic approach.
She is trained in EMDR, and combines expressive movement, yoga, improvisation, drawing and writing in her therapy practice.
